The Flesh Prevails, the new full-length behemoth from atmospheric death metal faction, FALLUJAH,debuted at #115 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart, #39 on Billboard’s Rock chart, #15 on the Hard Rock chart and #24 on the Independent chart upon its first week of release. Additionally, the album landed at an astounding #2 on the Heatseekers chart!
Boasting guest appearances from guitarist Christian Muenzner (Obscura, Necrophagist) and the chilling voice of Roniit Alkayam present throughout the album, The Flesh Prevails is a true master work of progressively tinged, otherworldly death metal that continues to floor fans and critics globally. “Their space is the backdrop for a parade of awesome celestial events,” describes Decibel Magazine, furthering that, “Harmonized death metal riffing and fleet leads twirl around each other like planets in orbital ballet. Dexterous blasting sends comets hurtling all over the place. Stars collapse and explode within the universe of synthetics that swaddle each song. It’s a huge sonic palette that FALLUJAHuses, all harnessed perfectly by tech-death mixmaster Zack Ohren.” Adds MetalSucks in a perfect 5/5 rating, “It’s an unabashed, psychotic, unregulated experiment of the wanton fusion of two separate strains of noise. It succeeds via the best bits of both and creating something uniquely greater than a simple summation. It animates the inorganic. It is architectural artwork. And with all its impressiveness, it feels true and pinpointed and ecstatic.”
FALLUJAH is currently embarked on a US live takeover as part of this year’s crushing Summer Slaughter Tour alongside Morbid Angel, Dying Fetus, The Faceless, Goatwhore and more. Additionally, the band will take part in the Summer Slaughter Canada Club Tour 2014. The band will be joined by The Faceless, Rings Of Saturn, Archspire, Black Crown Initiate and Fatality (on select dates).

GOD DETHRONED will reunite on board 70000TONS OF METAL!
After their farewell performance on board 70000TONS OF METAL in January 2012 we are proud to announce the band’s return!
Exactly 3 years later, they are scheduled to return to the stage more aggressive then ever! It will all begin with 70000TONS OF METAL, The World’s Biggest Heavy Metal Cruise, sailing to Jamaica in January 2015.
GOD DETHRONED front man, Henri Sattler, explains:
"In early 2011, I was facing two options: one was to announce a break, and the other option was to quit the band. I definitely needed time away from it all, and having a break wasn’t reassuring enough to know if I would be able to recharge the batteries for another go."
"Oddly enough it was at the funeral of the man who discovered us in the first place that I came to realize the story wasn’t finished yet. So here we go again. Don’t think you will be able to see us playing every club for weekends on end. We will only play a small selection of shows and this won’t happen before 2015. Besides that, the core of the band will consist of only Michiel and myself. We’ll have some cool guest musicians lined up, though, to make sure we’ll give you the best performance possible.
Last but not least, our first shows will be where we played our last ones three years ago. Our rebirth will happen on board 70000TONS OF METAL 2015. See you on board!”
70000TONS OF METAL, The Original, The World’s Biggest Heavy Metal Cruise has already confirmed: Alestorm, Annihilator, Apocalyptica, Arch Enemy, Behemoth, Blind Guardian, Cannibal Corpse, Chimaira, D.A.D., Ensiferum, Equilibrium, God Dethroned, Grave Digger, Heathen, In Extremo, Kataklysm, Korpiklaani, Lake Of Tears, Michael Schenker’s Temple Of Rock, Napalm Death, Origin, Primal Fear, Tank, Therion, Threshold, Triosphere and Xentrix, with 33 more to come!

Dave Lombardo’s PHILM Announces New Record Deal with UDR Music + Release of Sophomore Album, “Fire From The Evening Sun”
New Album Drops September 16, 2014 via UDR Music
Watch the New Album Teaser Here: http://youtu.be/Hb60-OEw7Ls
Dave Lombardo’s PHILM has announced that their long awaited secondstudio album, Fire From The Evening Sun, will be released on the band’s new label, UDR Music, on September 16, 2014 in the US (September 15 in UK/September 12 in other European territories).
“UDR is honored to be working with PHILM. This partnership seems very instinctual,” said UDR Music’s head of A&R/Marketing, Jay Lansford. “Dave Lombardo and I worked together during the Grip Inc. years. After hearing PHILM’s new album this alliance was clearly divine will. Powerful, intense… urgent. These three prolific musicians have created something that is refreshingly not mundane, but ear-shattering and groundbreaking.”
Led by the title track single ‘Fire From The Evening Sun’, PHILM’s unparalleled drummer, Dave Lombardo, states that the new album will mark a different turn in the bands musical journey. “PHILM’s first album, Harmonic, is still an amazing work to me. It’s improvisational and raw. It was my first time producing an album and I am very proud of it. The new album is a completely different animal. It is again produced by me, but mastered and mixed by a couple of musical giants… Tyler Bates and Robert Carranza. I believe this album has a daring, callous temperament about it that really sums up our mindset right now. No improvising, no fluff. It’s heavy and in your face from start to finish. You may think you know what PHILM is, but you don’t. If you haven’t seen us live, you have no idea. We thrive on being out of our comfort zones and want fans to take that ride.”
If ‘Fire From The Evening Sun’ is any indication, this album will not only give Lombardo fans what they have so passionately missed, but will take us on a heated musical journey that will leave us soaked in sonic beatitude.
PHILM – Gerry Nestler (vocals, guitars), Pancho Tomaselli (bass) and Dave Lombardo (drums) - will hit the road this fall in support of the album by performing several shows throughout Europe and the U.S. with more dates to be confirmed.
See below for full list of dates confirmed so far.
PHILM 2014 Tour Dates*

9th Vienna, Austria Arena
10th Munich, Germany Feierwerk

KHOLD SET TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM “TIL ENDES” ON SEPTEMBER 30 VIA PEACEVILLE RECORDS
Cover art, track list revealed
After a period of six years in the wilderness, Norway’s exponent of groove-laden black metal, Khold, is back with a new album, Til Endes, set for release on September 30 via Peaceville Records.
Til Endes, undoubtedly the band’s strongest work to date, explores the dark foreboding corners of the metal spectrum with eerie riffs, grim vocals courtesy of mysterious frontman Gard, and catchy hooks which are so often ignored in the genre.
Expanding upon Khold’s staple sound of mid-tempo primitive and heavy black metal, the band’s sixth studio release adds an additional aggressive edge to the tracks overall, whilst retaining its use of solely Norwegian lyrics. The album also notably includes a cover of the Sepultura classic, “Troops of Doom,” given the full Khold treatment, and titled “Dommens Arme.”
Til Endes was recorded at Studio Fredman (Amon Amarth, At the Gates, Opeth) in Sweden in June 2014 with the line-up of Gard (vocals/guitar), Sarke (drums), Rinn on guitar and Crowbel on bass.
Khold will make a special performance at the Brutal Assault festival (CZE) in August and a new promo video will also soon be revealed.
2. Skogens Oye
4. Dommens Arme
5. Til Endes
6. Det Dunkle Dyp
Khold formed in Oslo in 2000 by Gard and Sarke (currently seen in his own, self-named act alongside Darkthrone’s Nocturno Culto), as Khold emerged out of the ashes of the cult band Tulus. The band has recorded five albums to date since its debut Masterpiss of Pain was released on Moonfog Productions, and has successfully toured with bands such as Satyricon and Behemoth in the past.
Stay tuned for more information on Khold and Til Endes, out this fall on Peaceville.
Skid Row’s Snake Sabo Checks In From The Road
Once again I conducted an interview hidden in a stairwell at work. Good news is it was the last day at that stupid job. I was lucky enough to get some time on the phone with none other than Snake Sabo, guitarist and principal member of SKID ROW. The band has an EP coming out August 5 via Megaforce Records, Rise of the Damnation Army: United World Rebellion – Chapter Two and it is a seven-song…
